The 29th Sabbath Gate Mystery: Revelation of the Goodness of Yahweh

Kaph and Teth — The Revealing Power of the Goodness
We have completed the Feast of Tabernacles and entered the 23rd day of the seventh month, according to Yahweh’s Solar Time observed by The Kingdom of Shalom. We now approach the 29th Sabbath Gate carrying the joy, fullness, and goodness we received during the Feast.
In this gate’s sacred reading, Kaph, with its numerical value of 20, represents the open hand of revealing power. Teth, with its numerical value of 9, represents the container holding goodness.
Together, 20 + 9 = 29, revealing the mystery of this Sabbath Gate: the Revealing Power of the Goodness of Yahweh.
The hand opens, and the goodness held within is revealed. What we receive becomes something we carry into our homes, our relationships, and our daily walk.
Notice the day recorded in 2 Chronicles 7:10:
“And on the three and twentieth day of the seventh month he sent the people away into their tents, glad and merry in heart for the goodness that Yahweh had shewed unto David, and to Solomon, and to Israel his people.” — 2 Chronicles 7:10, KJV
The twenty-third day of the seventh month. This is the day we are observing today. Having completed the Feast and the Eighth Day Holy Convocation, we return to our tents (homes) with hearts made glad by the goodness of Yahweh.
The people in this passage departed with an inward treasure: gladness, gratitude, and remembrance of the goodness Yahweh had shown. The gathering ended, and the goodness went home with them.
This helps us contemplate the Goodness of Yahweh: His kindness, His provision, His beauty, His care for our welfare, and the instruction that forms goodness within us. The verse celebrates the good Yahweh had actually shown to His people.
Throughout the Feast, we gathered to receive His Word, honor our covenant, rejoice in His presence, and grow in togetherness. Now we carry that goodness forward. Our hearts become vessels of remembrance, and our hands become instruments through which goodness is expressed.
Here the mystery of Kaph and Teth unfolds: the opened hand reveals what the vessel holds. What goodness have we received? What will our words, choices, and actions reveal?
Even the name September preserves a remembrance of seven.
Merriam-Webster traces September to the Latin septem, meaning seven, and explains that September was the seventh month of the ancient Roman year, which began in March. This was before they changed their calendar to begin in January.
That history provides a point of reflection alongside our observance of Yahweh Solar Time. Our recognition of this day as the 23rd day of the seventh month follows the calendar observed by The Kingdom of Shalom. Human calendars change; our covenant declaration remains: Yahweh does not.
We completed the Feast that began on the 15th day, followed by the Eighth Day Holy Convocation on the 22nd. Today, on the 23rd, we take up the picture preserved in Chronicles: returning to our tents (homes) glad and merry in heart for the goodness of Yahweh.
Let that goodness enter our homes with us. Let it shape how we speak, how we serve, how we honor our vows, and how we care for one another. Let the joy received in the gathering continue in the life we live afterward.
We enter the 29th Sabbath Gate with open hands and hearts filled with goodness. We carry the Feast within us.
The hand is open. The vessel holds goodness. The goodness of Yahweh is revealed.
Understanding Yahweh’s Goodness: Receiving His Goodness—Reflecting His Image
To receive the goodness of Yahweh, we must open our hearts to understand what that goodness is—and what it calls forth within us.
At this 29th Sabbath Gate, our sacred reading of Kaph and Teth invites us to contemplate the open hand and the vessel holding goodness. Now we enter deeper into the Word. What are we receiving? What are we holding? And what will our lives reveal?
The Hebrew Meaning of Goodness
2 Chronicles 7:10
“And on the three and twentieth day of the seventh month he sent the people away into their tents, glad and merry in heart for the goodness that Yahweh had shewed unto David, and to Solomon, and to Israel his people.”
What is this goodness?
The Hebrew word translated “goodness” in this passage is tob, commonly transliterated tov—Strong’s H2896—derived from H2895. Its range of meaning includes good, pleasant, beautiful, precious, beneficial, and morally right. As a noun, it can refer to benefit, welfare, prosperity, happiness, good things, and bounty.
Benefit directs our attention to what helps and strengthens life. Welfare concerns well-being and flourishing. Beauty and pleasantness speak to what brings delight. Moral goodness concerns what is right, honorable, and worthy of being practiced.
These meanings help us contemplate the span of Yahweh’s goodness. We recognize His goodness in provision, kindness, wisdom, and the instruction that teaches us to live rightly. Each Scripture reveals these meanings within its own setting.
A related Hebrew noun is tub, commonly transliterated tuv—Strong’s H2898, meaning goodness, good things, and bounty. This is the word used when Yahweh promises to reveal His goodness to Moses.
Yahweh’s Goodness Reveals His Character
Exodus 33:19
“And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of Yahweh before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.”
Yahweh connects the revelation of His goodness with His name, grace, and mercy. His goodness makes His character known. We encounter His compassionate care and learn something of the One whose name we honor.
Psalm 119:68
“Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.”
Yahweh is good, and Yahweh does good. His actions express His character. The psalmist responds by asking to be taught: “Teach me thy statutes.” Receiving goodness awakens a desire to understand and practice His ways.
Here we can understand beneficence—doing good for the benefit of another. Benevolence desires another person’s good; beneficence puts that concern into action.
When we seek another perunderstand beneficence—doing good for another's benefit, we begin to reflect the goodness we have received from Yahweh.
Yahweh’s Goodness Calls Us into Renewal
Romans 2:4
“Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?”
His goodness leads us to repentance. His patience gives us reason to turn, reconsider our ways, and respond with changed hearts and lives.
What harshness needs to soften? What dishonest habit needs to end? Where must we apologize, repair harm, keep our word, or begin again?
We honor the goodness Yahweh has shown by allowing it to renew how we think, speak, choose, and act.
When we have spoken carelessly, goodness moves us to acknowledge the hurt and change our speech. When we have neglected a responsibility, goodness moves us to become dependable.
When pride has kept us from listening, goodness teaches us to receive correction with humility.
The goodness we receive becomes a living invitation to grow in Yahweh’s likeness.
Goodness Bears Fruit in Everyday Life
Galatians 5:22–23
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”

Goodness is fruit of the Spirit. What takes root within us becomes visible through our conduct and actions. Our homes, workplaces, relationships, and communities become places where that fruit can grow.
In our homes, goodness looks like speaking with care when we are tired, listening when a family member needs to be heard, and noticing work that needs to be done. It may be preparing a meal, sharing a household responsibility, or setting aside a distraction to give someone our attention. We help create an atmosphere where people are treated with dignity.
In disagreement, goodness looks like telling the truth with patience. We give another person room to speak, address the actual problem, and seek a fair resolution. We can establish wise boundaries while remaining respectful. Our words should help us move toward understanding and responsible action.
At work and in business, goodness looks like honest prices, accurate information, fair treatment, and dependable service. We honor agreements, acknowledge mistakes, and give others credit for their contributions. When our work affects someone’s money, time, or trust, we handle that responsibility with care.
In generosity, goodness looks like considering what would actually help. Someone may need food, transportation, instruction, encouragement, or assistance completing an application. We offer what we can with respect for their dignity. We share resources thoughtfully and use our gifts to strengthen another person’s ability to move forward.
In our community, goodness looks like offering our skills in service. A teacher can help someone understand. A bookkeeper can help someone organize. A skilled craftsperson can repair something that is needed. A compassionate listener can help someone feel heard. What Yahweh has placed in our hands can benefit someone else’s life.
In caring for ourselves, goodness looks like receiving rest, nourishing our bodies, tending our responsibilities, and filling our minds with sound instruction. We recognize the value of the life entrusted to us. Caring wisely for ourselves also helps us serve others with patience and strength.
When we fall short, goodness looks like taking responsibility. We apologize without excuses, make restitution where possible, and practice a better way. A renewed heart becomes visible through a changed pattern of conduct.
Reflecting Yahweh’s Image
These daily choices give practical expression to becoming like Yahweh in character. As we practice mercy, honesty, generosity, patience, and righteousness, our lives reflect the goodness He has made known.
His image becomes visible in how we regard people, how we handle responsibility, and how we use the power placed in our hands.
Within our devotional picture of Kaph and Teth, the vessel receives goodness, and the hand opens to express it. We carry that picture into daily life whenever an inward conviction becomes an outward act of love.
The Double Sabbath: Double Goodness, Twice as Long
This 29th Sabbath Gate also opens into a Double Sabbath. Coming directly from the Sabbath of the Eighth Day Holy Convocation, which completed our Feast of Tabernacles, we enter the weekly Sabbath. One sacred rest flows into another, keeping the gates of heaven open for us another day.
This is the fifth and final Double Sabbath in this solar calendar year. Two Sabbaths, five times, is ten. And ten is the numerical value of the Hebrew letter Yod—representing, in this sacred revelation, the hand of Yahweh and the power of Yahweh to hold the gates of heaven open.
Double the time.
Now remember the goodness revealed through Kaph and Teth. Kaph is the opened hand of revealing power, and Teth is the container holding goodness. Together, they reveal the Revealing Power of the Goodness of Yahweh. At this 29th Gate, that revelation meets the Double Sabbath: double goodness, received twice as long.
We have come through the Feast, entered the Holy Convocation, and now continue into Sabbath rest. We carry the joy of the gathering into another sacred day—another day to receive, another day to rejoice, another day to dwell in the goodness of Yahweh.
Twice the rest. Twice the pouring of goodness. Double goodness.
The hand of Yahweh holds the gates open, and we remain before Him with glad and merry hearts. The goodness we received during the Feast continues to fill our vessels as we enter this Sabbath. We return to our tents carrying His joy, while the sacred rest continues.
So we give praise, high praise, and holy praise to Yahweh! We bless Him for the goodness He has shown us, for the rest He has given us, and for this final Double Sabbath of the year.
The fifth Double Sabbath. The testimony of ten. Yod—the hand of Yahweh. Kaph and Teth—the revealing power of His goodness.
At the 29th Sabbath Gate, we rejoice in the double goodness of Yahweh—and we receive it twice as long.
The Fullness of Renewal: All the Divine Light Gathered into This Gate
This 29th Sabbath Gate also holds the fullness of the renewing power given to us through all our High Holy Days. All these days of divine light culminate in this Sabbath Gate, bringing forth the fullness of what we have received throughout this sacred year.
From Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread, to the Feast of Weeks, the Memorial of the Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, and the Feast of Tabernacles, Yahweh has gathered us before Him. Through these appointed times and their Holy Convocations, we receive His divine light, renewing our minds, our hearts, and our souls in Yahweh.
Now we bring all that light into this gate. We carry the instruction, remembrance, cleansing, covenant, joy, and togetherness we have received. The renewing power of these sacred days comes together in fullness.
This is why this gate must be held open twice as long. In this final Double Sabbath of the solar calendar year, Yahweh blesses us with double the goodness and gives us twice the sacred time to receive it, hold it within, and let it take form in our lives.
Kaph opens the hand of revealing power. Teth holds the goodness. Within this 29th Gate, the goodness gathered throughout our High Holy Days is revealed in its fullness. We enter with vessels filled with divine light and hearts ready to carry that light forward.
So we give praise, high praise, and holy praise this 29th Sabbath. We hold it dearly, we hold it sacred, and we remember its purpose: to receive the fullness of Yahweh’s renewing power and carry His goodness into our daily walk.
All the sacred days gather into this fullness. The gates remain open. The goodness pours forth. And we receive the double goodness of Yahweh—twice as long.
Carrying Home the Fullness of Yahweh’s Goodness
“Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.”— Psalm 65:11

Yahweh crowns the year with His goodness. This psalm celebrates His provision and the abundance of the harvest. As we reflect upon this 29th Sabbath Gate, we also contemplate the spiritual harvest gathered through our High Holy Days.
From Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread, through the Feast of Weeks, the Memorial of the Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, and the Feast of Tabernacles, we have received instruction, remembrance, renewal, and joy. Through the Eighth Day Holy Convocation, we have celebrated our covenant union and togetherness in Yahweh.
Now we carry that divine light into this Sabbath: renewal for our minds, our hearts, and our souls. In our observance of this final Double Sabbath, we receive another sacred day to rest, remember, and give praise for the fullness of His goodness.
Twice the rest. Double goodness. Sacred time to receive and carry forward what Yahweh has given.
In 2 Chronicles 7:9, the people gathered for the solemn assembly. Then Scripture records:
“And on the three and twentieth day of the seventh month he sent the people away into their tents, glad and merry in heart for the goodness that Yahweh had shewed unto David, and to Solomon, and to Israel his people.” — 2 Chronicles 7:10, KJV
The assembly ended, and the goodness went home with them.
So we return to our tents (homes) with glad and merry hearts. Let the goodness we received enter our homes through our words, our patience, our compassion, and our service. Let our renewed hearts be seen in how we care for one another and honor our vow.
Within our sacred reading of Kaph and Teth, the vessel holds goodness, and the opened hand expresses it. What we have received inwardly now takes form in our daily walk.
If Yahweh’s goodness is planted within us, what fruit is our life producing?
Let someone be strengthened by the encouragement we offer. Let someone be treated fairly because we have chosen righteousness. Let someone’s burden become lighter because we have placed our gifts in the service of goodness.
As we carry the fullness of this Double Sabbath, the 29th Sabbath Gate Mystery: Revelation of the Goodness of Yahweh into our daily walk, let our praise include a willing response:
Yahweh, teach us to understand the goodness You have given. Let it renew our minds, our hearts, and our daily conduct. Guide us to use our words, our resources, and our abilities for good. Let those who encounter us experience something of the mercy, care, and righteousness You have taught us.
May our hearts hold Your goodness. May our hands do good. May our daily walk reflect Your image.
We give praise, high praise, and holy praise this 29th Sabbath. We hold it dearly, we hold it sacred, and we remember its purpose.
Receive the goodness of Yahweh. Remember the goodness He has shown. Live that goodness through faithfulness, love, and service.
Receive, Remember, and Live the Goodness.
